Whatever you write… it must either be 12 lines, 12 stanzas, 12 paragraphs, or (if feeling extra verbose) 12 pages.

Close your eyes. Take a walk through your neighborhood (in your mind). Now write about it. Try not to leave anything out.
Happy Writing!
Write about chaos in as few words as possible. For a poem… write a haiku. For non-fiction… write a 500 word piece. For fiction… no more than 1000 words.
Happy Writing!
In honor of me missing a few prompt posts… write on the following topic:
Life happens…
Take it wherever it leads you in whatever format that it desires. Let the pen (or your fingers on the keyboard) lead you.
Happy Writing!
Write a reaction piece to the following quote:
“There are people so addicted to exaggeration that they can’t tell the truth without lying.” -Josh Billings

Sorry for the late post! Happy Writing!
Hi everyone! Just wanted to give you an update.
Day 1 was a wash for me. I spent it reviewing what I already had written.
Day 2 was amazing though. Through a really tough mental period I was able to pull some ideas while meditating on some music.
FYI I am working on two novels at once. Well they may end up being novellas… but whatever. I have to multitask. If I get blocked with one I can work on the other while I find my way out of any traps I fell into.
My tip:
Don’t be afraid to back up. Think of this like driving… sometimes you have to go a little in reverse to get to where you can move straight ahead.
Happy Writing!!!
Write a poem, essay, or short story starting with this line:
The kitchen smelled of fried fish, lavender, and heartache.
🙂 Happy Writing!
These prompts are designed to be used for either poetry, essay, or short fiction writing (unless otherwise specified in the prompt).
Not everybody writes novels. However you still should take advantage of this month to really exercise your creativity.
PROMPT 1
Write about how writing makes you feel. Think mentally, physically, and emotionally. Be as descriptive as possible.
