Take a moment and think about where you were on 9/11.
Even if you don’t want to remember the horror of that day, still think about where you were in life.
What were you doing?
Who were you with?
How did you feel?
Now run with it. Write a non-fiction or memoir piece about that day. Write a fiction piece using what you remember about yourself, taking the truth and spinning it. Write a poem about what you saw, heard, and/or felt.

Where was I, that depends where am I now? Let’s see, I don’t want to remember, sigh, but you won’t let me forget. The fear of is far more caustic then the death because of. That day will always be etched in my mind because these days have drastically changed. The carefree days of carelessness has now be awakened by caution, I have a new crick in my neck, got it from looking over my shoulders. I wanted to do the haphazard summer but had to make reservations, leaving more info than I was willing to share. Found out bugs have invaded; my phone, my emails, everything and there’s no spray for it. Three numbers, and I can’t hit a jackpot if I tried, has reshaped and reconfigured more than my life, it’s reconstructed my future : 9/11, does more now than bring emergency help.
